The Wilderness Society is a community based environmental organisation committed to ensuring the protection of Australia's wild places. It is not affiliated with any political party. However the Society does encourage our supporters and those who care for our environment to make their voices heard in the political sphere, especially around election times.

Over the last number of years, in elections around the country, various branches of The Wilderness Society have developed VoteEnvironment websites as a means to bypass the party and media limitations on policy debate and to directly inform the voting public on crucial environment issues.
